Bean Creek Falls

A (very) short down to a viewing platform to view the waterfall, if there has been some rain.

The last few hundred metres of the drive on on a chewed up dirt road, I was in a 2wd car and it was a bit iffy.

Berowra to Berowra Waters (GNW)

This pleasant walk follows the Great North Walk from Berowra Station down to Berowra Waters. On this walk you will spend much of the time on ridges enjoying scattered views across the Berowra Creek Valley, there are especially good views from Naa Badu Lookout. The walk crosses a few moist and cool gullies and scrambles for a few rocky outcrops. There are some steep climbs, and some pleasant strolls alongside the Berowra Creek. A short side trip at the end of the walk uses the ferry to cross the creek, to a cafe where you can grab a well deserved ice cream or lunch.

Berowra Waters to Cowan (GNW)

One of the hillier sections of the Great North Walk - you can start/finish at Berowra Station or Berowra Waters (car access only). There are many wide views across Berowra Creek providing some great excuses for well deserved rest stops. Take your time to enjoy the views, and rock formations, and creek crossings along the way as the track traveses multiple valleys between Berowra and Cowan railway station, through a wonderfully remote section of bushland. One of the best sections of the Great North Walk!

Billinudgel Nature Reserve

Nice shady walk through Paperbark Forrest.
Start at the gate at Jones Road (off Wooyung Road).
Follow Jones Road. After several hundred meters there is a off shot to the left marked by two stones.
Worth exploring with beautiful Paperbark forest and special places. Backtrack to Jones road and follow to the end ( gate private property festival site).
Note: the gate to Private property is before you hit quarry trail at the end of the gps track shown as map in the pictures.

Return.
Alternatively you can follow the Optus trail and cut through to the beach via central trail.

Nice, easy walk through different types of costal vegetation and South Golden Beach

Bird Gully Swamp

The track skirts the edge of a hanging swamp, still clearly defined after fire by the different plant communities. Acknowledge the traditional inhabitants of the land as you relax beside grinding grooves on the top of a picturesque waterfall with views of the gully. See the remains of the sand mining quarry which provided materials for the old Pacific Highway.

Note due to the fragility on the area this walk is only available as a guided tour.

Blue Gum Walk

Blue Gum Loop - also called Joe's Mountain Circuit - is a short, popular and very scenic circuit near Hornsby through Berowra Valley Regional Park, passing the Fishponds on Berowra Creek and Washtub on Waitara Creek. It's been recognised by the Sydney Morning Herald in 2015 as one of the “Six of the best bushwalks” in Sydney. A great family walk.
