Great walk through the forest, ending with a very steep climb up to the lake. Beautiful scenary, lots of birdlife and incredible to see both Mount Olivia & Cinco Hermanos so close. The waterfalls on the way up (Cascada Velo de la Novia Ushauia) are not to miss!

A difficult walk/scramble/climb up the highest mountain in the Cook Islands. With its tropical weather, and thick steep ridgelines this mountain is for the more experienced and determined hikers.
this is one of the best walks I've done. 6kms or so up a deep gorge with lots of waterfalls and then up onto the heights above before descending again and crossing the river back to carpark. stunning views and lots to see.
