2nd time up. Forgot how steep it was. Great hike with nice views. The prickly pear tree marking the track down has since fallen or been cut down but you can still see it lying down. Real good leg work out up and down.

Really nice hike not to hard. We did it anti clockwise so nothing to difficult. The rocks along the tracks were quite slippery after the recent rain. Nice views of Mt Mitchell and Mt Cordeaux. And worth the 150 metres for the view from the Goveners Chair.

Probably the sixth time up on the Pinnacle. Never dissapoints. Just doing the two ridges makes the slog up the steep fire trail worth it. Beautiful views especially when it's a cloudless day.

Nice hike up to white rock and around and back to picnic area. Would have like to climb white rock but as I've already done it twice before decided against it.

2nd time up. Nice short hike. Graded as a grade 5 hard hike but I'm thinking it's more a grade 2 or 3.
The Sphinx and Turtle Rock (Girraween National Park)

Nice hike in Girraween National Park. Easy track well marked with white paint where needed. Almost got to the top of Turtle Rock but it was one step to many for me. Unreal massive rock formations everywhere.

Combined this walk with The Sphinx & Turtle Rock hike. The hike from the Junction up to Castle Rock is unreal especially the last part after the tunnel when you come out onto the slap of Rock just below the top. Great 360 degree views featuring Pyramid Rock and Mt Norman.

Bit of a hard slog. We crossed Mt Barney Creek to walk up for a distant view of Mt Barney waterfall. Went off track and made our way back down to the creek and rock hopped back towards lower portals but ended up back tracking and found a decent and safe accent back up to the original path. We probably crossed the creek around 10 times 2 times without boots and socks. Bloody freezing. All in all we did a little over 11 klms.

Hiked to Mt Snowdon summit via the NorthFace of Crib Goch. Crossed Crib Goch ridge and up to trig point above railway station. Returned by Llanberris path and hitching a lift back to car along PenY Pass. Incredible day and perfect weather to tackle the ridge.

Left car park at 2am for a 5am sunrise. Hiked the Rhyd Ddu path in the dark with head torches. Arrived at summit at 4.55am but the sun was well hidden by clouds. Good path nice bit of a ridge walk.

Wild weather out above the Numinbah Valley. Cloudy very windy and 5 minutes of rain. Track is pretty muddy and slippery at the moment. Always a good one to do. The benefits of hiking during the week as I only saw 7 people and they were starting as I was on the last 2klm.

Definitely a hard one and you need a 4wd to a start at Flinders Goolman reserve. We also did the caves which was very steep and slippery getting to. Had the peak to ourselves. Awesome but tiring day.

Mt Maroon summit via West Ridge and caves. 8.63 klms. Started in the dark around 4.30 am. Got to the caves just on sunrise. Hard going from the caves up to summit. Glad I had GPS. Awesome day. Very very steep coming down almost the whole way. All in all around 9 hours with quite a few rest breaks.

Started at first light. Took me 6.5 hours this time. Up waterfall gorge and out to slab Rock. On up to the summit for the fifth time. Down to south east ridge and the car. Today was very humid and hot. Didn't see the predicted rain. Best start this one early as is quite challenging and car park fills up quick.

Third time around this track. This time I did it anticlockwise. It's not a hard hike but it is a long one. Took me 7.5 hours including stops. Lots of palm waste littering the track more or less the whole way round.
Warrie Circuit (Springbrook National Park)

2nd time around this track. Very wet muddy and slippery almost the whole way round. Loads of leeches so a good idea to spray boots and socks etc with aeroguard or similar. Good idea to start as early as possible as the car park fills up quick. Waterfalls were pumping and quite a few water crossings to keep it interesting. Had a tree come down across springbrook road which closed the road blocking our drive home. Firies were out with their chainsaws and one helpful guy let us know another way down going down Repeater Station Rd and then Lyrebird Ridge Rd. Always good getting down for a steak and a beer at the Canungra pub.
