Mt Ngungun (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Medium

Moderate walk, not overly challenging but good to get the heart rate up if you go at a faster pace. There’s a well defined track with a few stairs, beautiful outlook and plenty of places to sit and rest at the top. Completed to the top in about 35 mins walking fairly fast. Recommended for people looking for an easy morning hike.

Lovely walk. Walked down to the lookout then back up and ended up at the car park. The start of the trail was a little hard to find (tucked away off the Main Street) but was worth it.
White Rock Ridge Hike (White Rock - Spring Mountain Conservation Estate)

Nice walk, not overly challenging but gets you puffing a little on the way up. Nice quick little hike, took about 90 mins for us. We went up via this path and came back via the multi-trail which is a lot more flat and straight. This trail is much more like a bush walk (although the path is defined enough so you won’t get lost). Recommend doing it in the morning or a cloudy day though, not a lot of tree cover so it could get hot.

Beautiful walk, defined bush path the whole way. The view at the end is lovely, my husband and I took up some food and a picnic blanket and enjoyed the 360 degree views. Take a jacket as it can get a little cold and foggy up there. Would definitely recommend this walk.

Lovely hike, downhill most of the way. It will take you most of the day but the scenery is so nice and changes a lot so it’s interesting. We enjoyed a swim at the end of it in the beautiful clear ocean. Loved this walk!
Montezuma Falls walk (West Coast Tasmania)

Super easy walk with nice falls at the end. Took us about 90 mins to complete
Cradle Mountain Summit (Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park)

There is a LOT of steep bouldering in the last hour of the climb. My partner and I aren’t very experienced climbers and we still made it, but you have to go at a slow pace and try not to get overwhelmed at the amount of climbing at the end (it feels like it goes on for a while).

We did this in the middle of summer in normal joggers and exercise gear which was enough. It got very windy just before the summit so take a jacket. We did the summit track via Marion’s Lookout which took us 5.5 hours. Take food because you’ll get hungry. It was a rewarding trek, definitely recommend but take your time doing it!

Beautiful walk, lots of stairs and very vertical. Great precursor to cradle mountain

Great walk with a few lookouts and a lovely walk down to the beach. The walk back is a lot of stair climbing, but well worth the effort!

Probably one of the longest mountains to climb. Trail is nice and defined so you'll just need a bit of endurance for this one. Plenty of places to stop and rest though. I thought the rock scramble at the end would be tricky, but just take your time and it's not bad at all!
Mt Mitchell (Main Range National Park)

Great walk. It took us about 1hr 15m to the top and about 45m down. View from the top is spectacular - the last 5-10 minutes of the hike we found were the most challenging due to a number of stairs. But well worth it! Not overly difficult, a good cardio workout!
Mount Beerburrum (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Paved concrete walking track which was great, but super steep. Got the thighs and calves burning something fierce but doesn't take long to get to the top which is nice! Got up there in about 25-30mins with a few stops along the way.
