Port Campbell Discovery Walk (Victoria)
9 Jan, 2020
Easy
4.4km return

This walk isn’t as spectacular as the other walks in the area but it does give nice views over Oirt Campbell. Note: The flies are shocking down here.
The Arch (Victoria)

Very Easy

This is a really interesting formation with two lookouts.
Great Ocean Walk (Victoria)
7 Jan, 2020
Hard
100km one-way
8 days
We’ve just completed this walk. We completed it over 5 days, though we didn’t do these days back to back. We took days off for a rest. We chose to use the local taxi company Timboon Taxis to pick us up each morning from the point where we wanted to finish our walk and drop us off at the start point. Then we just needed to walk back to where our car was parked. It worked really well. We also didn’t do the walk in order because if the tide times. We wanted to make it as sure as possible that we wouldn’t have problems with streams being too high to pass or beaches being covered in water. The walk was quite strenuous in parts. There is a really big hill after Johanna which was hard work. Also the sandy beaches here are quite soft and hard to walk on. Johanna Beach needs to be crossed and it is quite a long walk. Really exhausting. The other thing to note is that there are heaps of flies. We’ve been told that you can get a fly repellant. We didn’t have any but it would be a really good idea. They really spoil parts of the walk.

Never the less this is a remarkable walk with amazing views over the coastline. Many of the inland parts are very nice as well with quite diverse landscapes.
The Twelve Apostles (Victoria)

Very Easy
1km return

We visited the Twelve Apostles many years ago but it was nothing like this. The lookout is huge and the crowds are too. This really is one of Australia’s iconic sites and a great short walk.
Triplet Falls (Tasmania)

Great walk. The loop is closed at the moment but you can still get to the falls. The first lookout is the best but there are two others.
Loch Ard Gorge (Victoria)
6 Jan, 2020
Easy

Absolutely spectacular. I just don’t have the words.
Gibson Steps and Gibson Steps Beach (Victoria)
6 Jan, 2020
Easy

The walk down the stairs was easier than expected but the sand is quite soft making walking hard work. Never the less Gog and Magog are very very impressive up close.
Stevenson's Falls (Victoria)
2 Jan, 2020
Easy
500m return
20 mins
I thought this waterfall looked better than the pictures. It's a bit out of the way, but it's really nice and the walk is good too. Loved the pine trees.
Beauchamp Falls (Victoria)

It was a bit tough on the way back up, but such a great walk. Our second really nice waterfall for the day.
Hopetoun Falls (Victoria)
2 Jan, 2020
Medium
2km return

Third awesome waterfall for the day. I found it tough walk back up, but it isn't that far, so not too bad really. If you're in the area, don't miss walking through the Californian Redwoods another 1.3km down Binns Road. While they're not that old they're still really impressive.
Melba Gully (Victoria)
1 Jan, 2020
Easy
1.5km return

This is a fantastic walk. There were a couple of tour buses there when we arrived so it must be a really popular place. We would have loved to go at night, but it gets dark at the moment around 9:30pm so we decided that wasn't happening.
Phantom Falls (Victoria)

It was pretty hot today so it was a bit of a tough walk. It would be nice when cooler. There isn't a lot of water in the falls at the moment.
Lower Kalimna Falls (Victoria)

Easy
2.2km return

This waterfall very much reminded us of Buderim Falls in QLD without all the people. It was really hot today, so maybe that's why no-one else was there, but it is a really nice waterfall, and a nice track to get to it.
Bells Track (Victoria)

This was a great start to the Great Ocean Road for us. The views are spectacular.
Red Beach to Woorim (Moreton Bay)
8 Nov, 2019
Medium
6.3km one-way
90 mins
Tough walk today. We decided to do this walk to avoid the 36 degree heat today. But it was close to high tide and the wind was strong. So on the way there we walked against the wind in soft sand and walked back wading through water. Never the less it’s always a beautiful walk - particularly around dusk.
Sublime Point Lookout (New South Wales)

Nice easy walk but not flat. You walk down to the lookout and then you walk back up. Most of the walk is sealed though before you reach stairs and then the bridge. Great views.
Wentworth Pass (New South Wales)

Totally awesome walk. This is the second time we’ve walked this track and live it. Last time we did it clockwise starting at Wentworth Falls car park. This time we started at the same car park but headed towards the conservation hut along the shortcut track and then down into the valley from there. We thought this was a better option because the track up towards the conservation hut is very long and gruelling. The track up from the bottom of Wentworth falls is steeper but involves steps and ladders. It doesn’t take nearly as long. This track does take in part of the National Pass, but this part is open. The National Pass is incredible and this section of it definitely won’t disappoint.
Three Sisters Walk (Blue Mountains National Park)

It’s a good little walk to do if your here just to say you’ve done it. The steps down are part of the giant staircase.
Valley of the Waters (New South Wales)

We’ve walked this track twice as part of the Wentworth Pass track - once each way. It’s a really tough walk back up because it seems to go forever. Seeing the waterfalls is so worth it though. Really awesome.
Thylogale Track (Jollys Lookout)

Nice easy walk. It’s pretty flat. On another note I have to say that it’s really dry in the area. We’ve been up there many times and I’ve never seen so many trees with dead leaves.
