Kondalilla Falls Circuit (Kondalilla National Park) |
19 Jul, 2015 |
Medium |
4.7km 2 hrs |

| Only wanted to do the Kondalilla falls part of this circuit, however found the bottom part of the falls is closed off at the moment (large rock fall). Turned out to be a very short walk (2km) across the top to the lookout; amazing view then down to the top waterfall and pool, then back up along the bottom path to the picnic area (30min. total). A perfect little walk for the family. | ||||

| This is a bit of fun for everyone. Used directions from fellow walker blog. Entering from the car park and following trail anti clockwise till reaching a cross road with 4WD track. Take this 4WD track right till you get to a rubble fire trail. You can turn right and follow this to the top with a roundabout way using faint bush trail. HOWEVER, if you had kept going along the 4WD trail and kept the mountain to your right for another 5min, you would come across a more used trail to the top (we descended down this so much easier). The 4WD tracks were in use so watch out and stay close to the sides (amazing watching them navigate the HUGE ruts). |

| We started out early and were lucky enough to get a parking space where the track starts. Great views from the coastal track to the northern side of the bay out to Double Island Point. Highlight is Hells Gates itself, with a 40m drop off to the sea below. | ||||

| Not so keen on this walk. A lot of rubble like rocks and view not as good as other mountains. You can walk around the top where you can see a few plaques of RIP but view doesn't get much better. | ||||

| Loved this climb!! The whole family got to the top including the kids (6 & 8) with just a little encouragement and use of the chains. The view was so worth it. Nicely shaded at the top; perfect for a picnic, however very exposed going up so take a lot of water. Track is well worn, but full on from the car park to the top. Can't wait to do it again ! |

| Not for the faint hearted!!! Took the kids up but didn't quite make it to the summit. The up is a climb and a half and great to push yourself, however with the kids (6 & 8) and no climbing gear or rope it's the going down that was the hardest! |

| A very popular area and very cool at 800m. There is a 100m drop from the top to bottom pools. The family were only brave enough to swim around the pools, where as others were sliding down the rock faces into the water. Watch out for the March Flies around here, they take huge chunks out of you! |

| This is a 'bucket list' item. When in Tasmania, walk the sands of Wineglass Bay and swim in the pristine waters. What I had not realised, was that other than by boat, you can only walk in! But that 5km trek was worth the effort. Half way there on the crest of the hill is the 'kodak' moment with awesome views of the bay and peninsula laid out below you. |

| You can't climb to the top of Mt Lidgbird, but this is the next best thing, as the mountain towers above you for a further 350m. As with all the walks on the island, the views are stupendous. | ||||
