Chairlift up on Snow Gums. Traversed across to Eagles Nest approx 400 meters. From there the track is easily made out due to not too much snow on the ground. Steel grated walkway most of the way to the intersection from Charlotte Pass. From there a nice leisurely ascent to the summit.

Recommended if walking this time of year to take warm clothes and headwear. better to have it and not need it then not take it and wish you had.

Will be back to do the full hike and also some others in the region during summer.

Steep track as soon as you hit the paved pathway. Nice short walk to the top. Took 21 mins up. 17 mins coming down. Great lung workout!!

Plenty of family's on the the very well defined track.

No chance of loosing the track.

Nice easy walk. Total time was 2hr 12mins. Not taxing on the body or legs. Lots of water points along the way as well. Great scenery both on land and out in Moreton Bay.

Did this with my dog and was a nice leisurely stroll along the foreshore.

To the summit in 1hr 48mins. Down in 1hr 36mins. Tree down across the track about 600-700 meters in but a path has been cleared through it so no big deal. Stairs are a bit of a bugger but necessary given the dampness underfoot the entire way.

Didn't have much to see unfortunately at the top as was extremely overcast. It didn't diminish the enjoyment in haveing completed this walk.

Great climb and one that you certainly can feel good about yourself once you get to the top. Chicken Rock at about halfway up is the point you'll reach where you make the decision to keep going or turn back. It is basically a 90 degree vertical climb using hand/foot holds approximately 25 - 30 meters in height.

Loose rock can be an issue underfoot if you do not watch where you are placing your feet so be sure to be mindful in that regard.

A great feather in the cap and looking forward to completing it again in the near future.

Good solid climb to the top with the first quarter of the ascent being the most taxing on the legs. Great views start from approximately 1/2 way up. Rock climb about 1/3 of the way from the summit with good foot/hand holds so shouldn't have too many difficulties. Fantastic views in all directions once at the top!
