Time was limited, as we had a long drive back to Darwin, so this was a quick splash and dash around. Good job crocs can't climb waterfalls!

This walk included the best and most extensive rock art we have ever come across. The official guide says this is a 1.5km walk, but somehow we managed to clock up 2.3km in an hour and a half, by having an extra look around!

First chance in the Northern Territories to get a bit of a walk around without those crocs snapping at your heals and see some 'rock art' and a high vantage point of the Nadad Floodplain.

We were here last year in August, but ran out of time to do this walk. This time we again camped at Neurum Creek and spent the full day on this trail. Very interesting how the flora changes dramatically from one area to another. This was a long 13km walk for the two young ones and over the 4 hours it took, there was lots of encouragement needed. But wow, they did it! |

A great little walk and because it had not rained, I was able to crisscross the creek as I wended my way down. The following morning, after a horrendous overnight thunder storm, which included a lightning strike on the Pyramid, saw the creek full and running fast with no access across from the camp site.

Scary or what! How do you climb up or down with nothing to hang on too? With two little ones, we really had to take our time on this one, as one slip and you were gone. |
