Mt Coot-tha Lookout has sweeping views of Brisbane City, Moreton Bay, and around to the Tweed Volcano, Main Range and Mount Barney and Flinders Peak. The walk to this lookout, from JC Slaughter Falls Picnic Area, is a potentially slightly testing but generally easy walk on a paved track that straddles a gully.

This track takes walkers from the Manorina car park to Mount Nebo lookout. Trek through wet eucalypt forest containing groves of cabbage tree palms, recognised by their huge, fan-shaped leaves. At Mount Nebo lookout, enjoy spectacular views over the Samford Valley to Moreton Bay. The track is well defined and gently-sloping. Keep your eyes peeled for a few of the old track markers with distances marked in miles.

On the opposite side of the Maiala Picnic Area there is a small clearing. Some BBQ tables and chairs are there as well as a fire ring. At the entrance to the walking track there's an information board. Full great info and history.
