| Watch the signposting so that you don't end up on the Trachyte circuit, which would add hours to your walk. The Tibrogargan track can also be used as for access to climb Mt. Cooee. | ||||

| This video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-09qSZPR9wM is the best way to do this walk IMO. Leave your car at the Mt Tibrogargan parking lot, which seems preferable than leaving it on Barr's Road or wherever. Take the Tibrogargan circuit for about 20 minutes, then a 2-minute unsigned trail to the fire break road. From there to the T-junction mentioned by others, then 10 minutes to the lookout and a few more minutes to the summit. The summit walk from the T-junction to the summit and back took us 30 minutes, but we had a 10-minute delay due to an off-trail detour. If you don't make this mistake, the scrambling is minimal. Recommend long pants and shirt sleeves due to the spiny flora encountered on Cooee. You can get back to your vehicle by either backtracking or completing the Tibrogargan circuit. | ||||

| Because of the visor on my hat, I didn't see the overhanging branch just above the steep section. Next time, I take a chainsaw with me (no emojis here). The walk / scramble is a very good workout. The chain which is there for most of the scramble section makes the scramble much easier and safer. Note that the annual race up the mountain was permanently discontinued a few years ago. | ||||

| When going bushwalking with friends who have no experience walking up mountains, this is where we go. It's a moderately decent workout and is a beautiful walk shaded by huge trees and lots of ferns. It's a 45-minute return if you walk quickly and don't stop for breaks. | ||||

| This is typically a 10-minute easy walk. You go downhill for half, then uphill for half (approx). A good stop for a quick end-of-day cool down walk after some other bushwalks. | ||||

| This is a surprisingly good workout, finishing at the summit with a Class 1 scramble. Not technically hard and only takes 30 seconds or so but is definitely a scramble. There are steep drops near the top, so be sure you know what the route looks like e.g. via Youtube, prior to your first attempt. | ||||

| Did this one >50 times in 2025. The first 15 minutes is an easy, stony trail to the information kiosk. After that is 15 minutes of steep walking on a concrete paved access road. Many people do laps on the steep section for physical conditioning. 1 hour is the typical return time. No scrambling. The Beerburrum train station is less than 5 minutes walking from the trail head. | ||||

| Did this several times this year for physical conditioning. It is a straight shot up a concrete access road to the lookout. It is right off the M1, so it's good for a quick workout break on the way to/from somewhere else. | ||||

Yul-yan-man Track (Glass House Mountains National Park) |

| Access to the YulYanMan track is via the Beerburrum trail head next to the Beerburrum School. Go up the Beerburrum track for 15 minutes to the information kiosk, then take a right for the track rather than going up the steep section of the Beerburrum summit road. There is a sign warning of the danger of the scrambling, but for somebody of ordinary bush walking skill and fitness, the scrambling section is easy and only takes about 12 minutes. There is other minor scrambling here and there on the track after that, but nothing particularly challenging. But I wouldn't do it after or during a rain, as it would be somewhat slippery. You can make a loop from YulYanMan back to the Beerburrum trail head by way of the Trachyte Circuit / Soldiers Settlers trail. The lengthier loop took me 2h 45" return (14000 steps). Lots of up and down and a good workout. | ||||
