Coomera Circuit (Lamington National Park)

Such a beautiful walk. Longer but probably easier than Warririe in Springbrook. Mud is starting to clear up so the going wasn’t too tough.
Mt Maroon (Mt Barney National Park)

Tough one. Took me nearly four hours being very carful going up and down. Take plenty of water. Easy to find dirt road not too bad and trail is generally easy to follow. I’m not the biggest fan of scrambling but there’s no exposure and I was able to do it no problem.
Flinders Peak (Ipswich - Flinders Goolman Conservation Estate)
30 Mar, 2024
6.5km return
3.5 hrs
It’s all open again. Dirt road in was nice and flat, a little water on the causeways but my civic got through no issues.

Tough hike but some great views.
Mt Cordeaux (Main Range National Park)

Such a beautiful walk. Very humid in the summer but walking across the saddle to bare rock is spectacular.
Castle Rock (Girraween National Park)

New Year’s Day walk. So beautiful. Scrambling isn’t too bad.
Warrie Circuit (Springbrook National Park)

17km return
5 hrs
My favourite hike. Done it in the wet the dry and in between. Lots of leeches when wet and need to be careful of footing. Closer to 14km than 17km I think but it always messes with my devices.
Ships Stern Circuit (Lamington National Park)

Mount Edwards (Moogerah Peaks National Park)

Went in summer and went through more water very quickly. Lots of elevation over a short period. Definitely hard but not big kms so doesn’t take ages
