I liked this walk and I would describe it as good intermediate walk. It is achievable but also enough of a climb to get the heart rate up. It also has something for everyone - a bit of scrambling, nice views, varied terrain and even some historical items of interest along the way. I took just over 3 hours and stopped for lunch at the Governor’s Chair and did a few side trips. The track was a bit overgrown in parts with a few trees down (perhaps still from the cyclone) but still easy enough to navigate. There was a little mud too. As others have noted the road up is marked 4WD only but was fine in my Honda HRV - conditions were dry. I probably wouldn’t take my car any further than the Pioneer Graves carpark however |

Not recommended. A mess and hard to determine the route.

Did this with an 8 year old and it took around 3 hours 20 minutes from the carpark and back with plenty of breaks and a steady pace. It is tough in places and I wouldn't like to do in in summer but overall a very achievable walk. Had lunch in the nearby cafe afterwards and it was delightful. Overall a great day out and close to Brisbane.
