Table Top Loop (Toowoomba)

A challenging but fun walk. If you're not reasonably fit you might find it difficult as it is quite steep in places. Well worth the effort though for the magnificent views. Keep an eye out for snakes as a good sized brown snake crossed the path just ahead of me while I was completing the circuit at the top.

Easy walk with a fantastic view from the lookout. Loved the grass trees across the top.

Not a difficult walk. Not much water at the falls. Track from Danabah to Pine Gorge Lookout is closed. Pine Gorge Lookout can be accessed via Tim Shea Falls. Views from the lookouts weren't as spectacular as from Mt Kiangarow. An enjoyable walk through the forest.

Fantastic walk with magnificent views around the circuit. Quite a few steps but not difficult. Great family walk.
Mount Perry Summit Walk (Wide Bay Burnett)

We drove to Mt Perry township specifically for this walk only to find we couldn't actually find the start of the walk. No signage at all. We spent over an hour driving around trying to find the starting point, drove back into town to ask at the local store. The lovely lady there couldn't give us definite directions so she phoned someone she thought would know for sure. That person said it was too hard to find so we left very disappointed.
Fern Tree Pool and Giant's Chair Circuit (Cania Gorge National Park)

Took my husband and I 1 1/2hrs to complete and that wasn't rushing it. We walked anti clockwise so followed along the creek area which was easy wslking. After Fern Tree Pool there is an ascent up to the top with some steps. The walk across the top follows the fire trail and is easy walking to the lookout. From there it us all downhill with a lot of steps back to the car park. Recommend going anti clockwise if you want less steps. Enjoyable walk.
Mt Walsh (Mount Walsh National Park)

Did this with my daughter and 10yr old granddaughter on a hot day. It was a challenge but we had quite a few rest stops on the way up. We all enjoyed the rock scrambling and climbing as it added to the adventure. The views from the top are spectacular and we spent close to an hour exploring across the top. All up it took us 3 1/2hrs. Will definitely do it again.

An easy family walk through the rain forest. Did it with my grandchildren and they all loved it. Spectacular views of the Glasshouse Mountains from the cafe.

This was #6 of a 6 peaks in one day challenge I did with my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 12yr old granddaughter so we found it more challenging than if it was our only one for the day. Lots of formed steps and rocky sections with spectacular views of the coast. Highly recommend.
Wild Horse Mountain (Glass House Mountains National Park)

This was #1 of a 6 peaks in one day challenge I did with my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 12yr old granddaughter. An easy short walk with spectacular 360 degree view.

This was #2 of a 6 peaks in one day challenge I did with my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 12yr old granddaughter. Short, steep walk gave our legs a good work out. View from fire tower okay but not as good as Wild Horse Mountain or Mt Ngungun. Take insect repellent as there were a lot of mozzies.
Mt Ngungun (Glass House Mountains National Park)

This was #3 of a 6 peaks in one day challenge I did with my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 12yr old granddaughter. An easy walk with some rock scrambling at the top. Spectacular 360degree view from the top. Car park was full so a popular walk.
Mt Cooroora (Sunshine Coast)

I have done this walk a few times and as long as you are reasonably fit it isn't too bad. This time I did it with my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 12yr old granddaughter as #4 of our 6 peaks in one day challenge which made it much more challenging. The track is very washed out after you start the steep ascent from the metal stairs so a lot of scrambling required. Spectacular views from the top even when there is some fog. Saw a couple of walkers doing it in rubber thongs which I would not recommend.

This was #5 of a 6 peaks in one day challenge I did with my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 12yr old granddaughter. Some slippery rocky sections but not difficult. I use a trekking pole which helps when slippery. The view from the eastern lookout is spectacular looking to Mt Coolum. Highly recommended.
Mount Baga (Central Queensland)

A steep climb with a lot of very loose rock under foot and rock scrambling required. Not recommended in wet weather. Wouldn't recommend for young children. Great views.
