Mt Peel Bushland Reserve

There are about five different trails in the reserve, and you can do them in any order. This means you can do a few short walks or map out your own route and do a longer walk. Most of the walks are easy, with the exception of the climbs to the top of the two lookouts which are quite steep rough rock climbs. The views from both lookouts are well worth the effort though. The tracks have some signage, but it is still easy to get lost as the signs are too few and too far apart. There are a few tables and chairs at the lookouts so they make a good place to catch your breath, enjoy the view and maybe have something to eat. The walks are all through very open Eucalypt Forest and dry grass land. There are also a few dedicated mountain bike tracks in the reserve as well.

Picnic Point to Table Top

A terrific hike from the waterfall at Picnic Point to Table Top Mountain and return. Challenging in some sections of Table Top with rock scrambling and lots of gravel. The return trip to Picnic Point is also hilly. 12k is an approximate distance. You can add to this or shorten the walk with a few different options.

Nice walk around the range at the base of Toowoomba. Not overly steep at any point but there is the occasional log to dodge.

Table Top Loop

Table Top mountain on the edge of Toowoomba, provides views of the Lockyer Valley and surround. The climb itself can be quite demanding with a lot of large steps over the Camel's Hump and a scramble just before the summit. But the reward at the top, with a circuit all the way around, provides a spectacular vista.
