Easiest way is to start from the end of Stowers Rd. Follow fire trail keeping left at any intersections, and start of the track up is at -27.75821, 152.79298. Not an overly difficult climb, with a reasonably clear track all the way to the summit. Also a few ribbons may help you get there.

There is a reasonably clear track up now with a few ribbons thrown in for good measure. :) Coords of the start of the track are -27.75821, 152.79298. I expected it to be similar to Mt Blaine but much easier.

Follow the main track until you are at the base of Mt Goolman. Choose one of 2 unmarked ridges that ascend from the main track (There is what looks like the remnants of a very old track on 1 ridge but very hard to spot. Basically trackless for the first 2/3 the way up. Zig zag your way through lantana until you are funelled onto a small footpad which takes you to the top. Retrace your steps.
Very slippery under foot, partially exposed, not very good views. Not fun. Not worth it. Flinders or Blaine are far better options.

Was a bit steep for the first 200-300m or so. The signage is not very good. There is no indicator to indicate you have reached the end of the walk. We kept on going for two hours and decided we must have missed the end and decided to walk back. The Boonah to Ipswich Trail shares the same route so it is possible to keep going.
