Mt Walsh (Mount Walsh National Park)

This is a beautiful hike with breathtaking views at the top! There is a couple of rock climb sections but there are lots of hand holds and they’re only short so you get a chance to re-coupe before carrying on. The view is incredible and there is lots to explore along the top. We are moderately fit and it took us 3 hrs up and back including lots of breaks, time at the top and taking our time in the climbing sections. One of my fav hikes!

Kenilworth Bluff - Wilcox Family Park Trail (Sunshine Coast)

Quite a challenging hike. Quite steep, With both steep inclines and declines. Path is very narrow and only a foot wide at times so not a good one if you have bad knees or ankles. The trail takes you to the very far right of the bluff and it’s a fairly short scramble to the top. There’s not all that much of a view at the top just the quarry and valley which is disappointing as the bluff looks so cool from the bottom as you’re making your way up. Once you make it to the top the trail is very loosely marked and eventually runs out. You pretty much have to bush bash your way across the plateau as it’s not very well travelled and hard to pick out an actual path there’s also pretty much no view and it’s a long trek as you make your way across the top. We trekked for another couple of kms and eventually hit a ravine which we were unable to cross, at that point the pink ribbon had run out and there was only the occasional alternative marker on the odd tree but that’s it. I actually think this trail is 5km one way not return as we gps’d it as we went and ended up doing just over 12km by the time we made it back to the car. If you’re going to do this one I’d turn around at the peak and you’ll have a much more enjoyable hike unless you know the area and feel comfortable bush bashing along the top. If someone is able to mark out the trial along the plateau
It would be so awesome of you, I’m sure everyone would be So thankful! All in all a great challenge with beautiful surrounds the whole way.

Highly recommend, very beautiful spot with amazing views and a great water hole to swim in. Entrance says 4x4 only however we managed fine in our Subaru Forester. As long as you have some clearance you'll be fine, there's just a couple of small river crossings to pass which were fine when we went however my be harder after bigger rains.
Kinbombi Falls (Wide Bay Burnett)

Great little spot to check out! There is also a campsite and toilets at the falls so a good spot to spend the night if you're travelling. There was only a trickle of water at the falls but it was still a spectacular site. There is 3 different look outs and MANY stairs so even though there isn't much of a trail you'll still get a bit of a workout in.

Trail is hard to find, its approx 15km in rather than the 10km advised. There is a 4x4 track most of the way so if you have a 4wd you can drive most of it. We didn't walk all the way as ran out of time so will have to go back some time. Deff lots of wild life on the roads so be careful.

Rock pools are beautiful. There is a carpark and toilets right at the rocks pools and you can park up and walk straight to them, there's no trail for the rocks pools. You can walk along the rocks for quite a ways so there is lots to adventure. A great spot for a pick nick esp in summer when its hot as the pools will be super refreshing. You can also access the Mt Boulder trail head from the car park which we also did.

Great hike and views. We are about Med fitness and it took us 1.5hrs up and back including photo time and breaks along the way. The hike is a steady climb up pretty much from the start with a steep climb for the last 300m. Once you get to the towers, if you walk down towards the 4x4 track you'll see an opening on the right hand side which offers a great view. On a clear day (which it was) you can the top of Mount Cooroora.

Beautiful easy walk, great place to bring visitors and kids. It gets quite busy as it’s such an accessible trail so if you can go during the week you’ll Avoid the crowds. It’s also a great spot to have a picnic and a dip during the summer but again a very busy spot.
Baxter Falls - Southern Approach (Kondalilla National Park)

Beautiful walk, easy on the way down and a bit of a heart pumper on the way back due to the incline however it flattens back out in time for you to catch your breath and stroll back to your car. The falls are a beautiful sight at the end and deff a must do if you’re in the area! The waterfall was flowing well today after recent rains.
Baxter Falls - Northern Approach (Kondalilla National Park)

Recommend doing this walk from the Southern entrance as there is space to park there and a nicer walk in. We tried the Northern entrance via the gravel road and were told off straight away from residents. There's nowhere really nearby to park either so may as well just head to the other entrance.

Easy trail which can be made longer if you do the circuit. The falls at the end are beautiful, I was lucky enough to see it with some water flowing through it. Lots of little rock pools to sit in if you want to cool off once you get to the falls and are game enough to do a little scramble over the rocks.

Super easy circuit. The main lookout at the car park has a beautiful view. The lookout on the circuit isn't all that amazing as you can't see much at the moment as its a bit overgrown and blocking a lot of the view however the trail is beautifully done and deff one to check out if you're in the area!

Easy walk with just enough incline to get the heart pumping. This is my go to walk and do this at least 1-2 times a week as its easily accessible, nice clear trail to follow, good little heart warmer and great views ! Its a great spot to watch the sunset.

A beautiful walk to the falls with lots of photo opportunities on the way. The track is a bit overgrown in some parts which makes it a bit hard to follow but persevere and you'll pop out to the mine. I recommend proper footwear and be mindful of snakes. We saw a decent size black snake on the trail (unsure what it was) lucky for us it was moving in the opposite direction.

Beautiful view which is worth the look. I have a Subaru Forester and made it all the way to the look out with no problems if you want to save yourself the boring gravel walk to the lookout.
