A stunning late winter walk ⛰️ Took around 3.5 hours at a brisk space. 1 hour up to Mt. Cordeaux lookout and another 45 to Bare Rock. We loved the changes in biomes 💚 From rainforests, rocky outcrops, and the grassy saddle. The view from Bare Rock is fr way better compared to Mt Cordeaux and Mitchell. 🦅 Fauna spots: Was super lucky to see a wedge-tailed eagle doing a low flyover while at the lookout! Also saw three Albert's lyrebird which is insane. One at very close range. <3 🌼💐 Flora spots: First few gymea spear lilies starting to shoot out flower spikes. Golden ever lasting daisies abound at the lookout :) |

Nice winter walk ⛰️ Took an hour up from the Crest Carpark at a very brisk pace. IMO the views are way better at Bare Rock. I would also recommend checking out the little crevice with the gold miner's sign; it's cool to walk through the gaps between the mountain :) |

Super lush and easy walk 💧 We started from the lower carpark at Stradbroke Road. Loved walking by the creek and seeing all the lorikeets and rosellas playing in the trees <3 The walk from the trailhead to the falls was super easy. Continued on to the Plateau Hike as we had a bit more energy. Spotted like 4 koalas which was sick 🐨 |

Very sunny and dry conditions rn ☀️ We did the full circuit loop counter-clockwise as suggested! The descent wasn't too steep but I can see it being annoying as an ascent if done clockwise. Very busy as it was a Sunday afternoon. Not much water trickling down atm and the lower pools were pretty stagnant and gross. Kinda flopped ngl, would recommend coming here after heavy rains. 🕷️🦎💚Fauna spots: Heaps of trapdoor spiders in their burrows, a couple of medium sized lace monitors, a cool red and black centipede |

Haven't been back here in a couple of years! ⛰️ Went with a couple of friends who are new at bushwalking. Took around 4.5 hours round trip at an extremely leisurely photographer's pace. The weeds are SO overgrown rn! Shoulder-length inkweed and thorny vines that scratch and pull on your clothes. It's especially thick near the summit :( 👎 Some rainforest parts of the track is also bordered by gympie-gympie so be careful! Would suggest wearing long pants and wearing a thin long-sleeve outer layer. Track condition is good, not muddy despite the recent rains. Bit of an incline but nothing huge :) 🦎 Fauna spots: 2 eastern crevice skinks, a lace monitor 🌼💐 Flora spots: Golden everlasting daisies are popping OFF rn. Native violets, hardenbergias, a couple of bulbine lillies. No orchids in flower atm |

So lush and dreamy 🌧️🍄 Walked after a week of La Nina rain and the whole track has transformed into a fungi wonderland. Seriously magical <3 Also the tusked frog calls are super prolific atm. I'm sure I heard a bunch of other frogs too I just couldn't identify them 🐸 |

What a beautiful short walk today! The Greenes Falls track was closed due to tree damage so we decided to walk this very slowly and really take in the details. 🐁🕷️💚🍄 Some amazing spots include: A long-nosed bandicoot scurrying in the leaf litter, so many pademelons, hill banks full of burrows housing wishbone spiders, empty snail shells, and fungi galore. Highly recommend doing a "grounding" walk like this once in a while. Quite different to being focused on fitness or counting up kilometres. Great for your heart and your soul :) |

Okay walk, good for a workout and not much else. Nothing toooooo interesting in the track itself. The view was good but currently half obstructed by construction work as they are building a platform viewing area and new bitumen roads up to the viewpoint. I predict this place will be a lot more developed and touristy in the next few years... | ||||

So lush 💧💧💧 Super lucky to have this all to ourselves today! A decent amount of water in the falls. Really fun to scramble around and rock hop up and down the creek, exploring some of the smaller rock pools and personal jacuzzis experience. Loved how quiet and private it felt with no one around! We opted for the longer signed track from the day-use area. The walk to the falls was pretty easy as it is all downhill. A bit tiring walking back to the car park tho after a couple of hours swimming and up an incline but nothing major. |

What a gorgeous sun-drenched day ☀️ Dramatic landscapes all around with a gazillion boulder formations everywhere. The panorama at the summit was insane and IMO better than the Pyramid (because we had it to ourselves). We had lunch in the shade overlooking the national park and it was so so lovely. 🦎 A handful of Cunningham skinks, and a whole bunch of other lizards and skinks 🌼💐 Cool flora spots: We're at the tail end of the flowering season I think but there's still some around. Wattles, a field of flannel flowers, isotomas, yellow buttons, flax-lilies, daisies in an assortment of colours, granite bluebells everywhere. |

Completely baked ourselves during this walk ☀️ Combined with the Castle Rock track. We weren't as impressed with these two. Didn't know you could climb up Turtle Rock as there was no information on the national park website, but we'd probs be too tired anyway. Definitely did not take enough water lmao |
