Mt Eerwah (Sunshine Coast)
29 Jun, 2019
Hard
3km return
3 hrs
Was a very slippery, wet climb into the cloud due to having lots of rain in the weeks prior.
Thankful for the ropes still available to use on some sections of the climb. Disappointed to see the welcome arch at the start of the track and the welcome sign at the top, had been removed. (Think they were replaced by a big, old brown goat that called out several times at the start and finish of the climb) :)
Mt Cooroora (Sunshine Coast)
14 Aug, 2015

Beautiful day for a climb up Cooroora. Did notice a lot more erosion this time compared to a few months ago.
Ironbark Trail (Eumundi Conservation Park)

Much easier second time around and we didn't get lost! A tiny drizzle of rain but it held off until we finished.
Mt Walsh (Mount Walsh National Park)

Lovely time of the year for this mountain climb.
A few rocks and boulders getting to the top were a little bit moist but able to be manouvered around.
Took us just over 3 hrs return and that's with a good 30 mins on the top.
Boat Mountain, Daniels Lookout (Wide Bay Burnett)
30 May, 2015
Medium
2.2km return
45 mins
Took the whole 4 wd club up this mountain. A little incline and then nice and flat with beautiful views at the top. Added another track to the time on the way down but only 50 mins in total return.
Nice easy one for the whole family
Mount Coolum (Sunshine Coast)
23 May, 2015
Medium
2.6km return
90 mins
Today we climbed Coolum from the western side, up to the top via a track that was more like a water course. Rocky all the way to the top. Down the front side overlooking the ocean and then back up and over and down to the car. Well worth the adventure!
Ironbark Trail (Eumundi Conservation Park)
17 May, 2015
Medium
10.2km return
2 hrs
Nice easy track through some marshy, swampy areas especially as it had rained a couple of days ago and rained quite heavy as we reached the end. The map refers to a second gate just before allandale rd. If you get to this road you have missed the track. A few hills but not too steep. A very pleasant walk but a little longer than stated. We did just over 12 kms
Baroon Pocket to Kondalilla Falls (return) (Kondalilla National Park)
10 May, 2015
Medium
20km
5 hrs
Did this walk starting from Kondalilla and back. Last hour and a half in the dark as started too late. Made a very interesting finish! Lovely peaceful hike
Mount Beerburrum (Glass House Mountains National Park)
3 May, 2015
Medium
3.5km return

This was our 2nd mountain of the day. My first time and it was very steep and difficult. A narrow concrete path that winded up and up and up until you reach the lookout. Only about 30 mins to the top but a very satisfying view!
Mt Cooroora (Sunshine Coast)

This was our 4th mountain of the day. Have done this one so many times but usually its the only one in a day. Always a very satisfying trek!

3rd mountain of the day. Handstands at the top!
Mt Ninderry (Sunshine Coast)

5th mountain of the day so was feeling a little off balance by this stage. Made it all the way with Coolum left to do and that was it!

Walked from Kondalilla to Obi Obi creek and back again. Beautiful waterfalls as the rain had provided alot of water!
No difficult parts just a long way; 21 kms clocked on Endomondo.
Was pretty tired and worn out but most enjoyable!
Training for Kilimanjaro
Mt Tibrogargan (Glass House Mountains National Park)
Feb, 2015
Very Hard
3km return

2nd time for this one. Seems to get easier and more familiar with each climb. Love the view!
Mt Tunbubudla East (Glass House Mountains National Park)
31 May, 2014
Hard
5km return
3.5 hrs
Found the mountain no problem although we did commence the walk at a different gate further west. Made our own way up to about half way when we found some of the orange tape on the trees. Followed these to the top where the views were amazing as were all the way up. Cloudy day and the rain held off just perfect for us. A lot of scrambling involved and grass, leaves and dead undergrowth that covered rocks so had to be careful when we trod. Overall a most enjoyable and a little challenging climb with half the adventure being staying to the track.
Took us a little under 2 hours up and back.
Mt Eerwah (Sunshine Coast)
26 Apr, 2014
Hard
3km return
3 hrs
Very steep climb. lots of 'wait a while' and loose undergrowth. Was very appreciative of the ropes in occasional spots.
We chose not to come down the same track once walking the whole ridge but instead found a gully and made our way down through loose undergrowth and thankfully there were plenty of vines to hang on to!
Alot of laughs and most adventurous for all 9 of our group!
Mt Walsh (Mount Walsh National Park)
2014
Hard
4km return
3 hrs
Starts off quite tame and then you reach 'the sign'! the track steepens with loose rocks. Negotiating through some crevices and boulders, you will reach the top and oh, what a view! Lots of rounded large rocky area to explore.
Mount Tibrogargan Summit (Glass House Mountains National Park)
Oct, 2013
Very Hard
2.7km return
2 hrs
Was a fantastic challenge! Glad to have had some in our group who'd climbed it several times to give us a helping hand and guidance up some difficult parts!
Overall the view was definitely worth the hike!
Going again tomorrow!
