Mt Nebo - Honey Track (D'Aguilar National Park)

Started off on the Honey Trail route but ended up sticking to the South Boundary Road instead. It must be Cicada season as the entire forest walk felt like it was reverberating with their sound - it got to a point multiple times where I had to cover my ears and could not hear my friend speaking as it was so loud. A pair of red king parrots also have a nest right on the trail about 5 kms in.

Used to descend Mount Coot-tha as the last part of our circuit. Didn't realise how steep the steps actually are until you are walking down them.

Good quality trail but had to take a couple of breathers on the last ascent

I always seem to forget how many stairs there are. The four of us completed the Summit Track in 45mins

Easy to complete and very well maintained but the concrete ramps are a killer if you are walking back up them.
Warrie Circuit (Springbrook National Park)
27 Jan, 2018
Hard
17km return
5 hrs
The four of us completed the circuit counterclockwise (as the ascent is steeper but a few kilometres shorter) in 3hrs 15mins. Easy to manage and well maintained trail but needed to stop a couple of times on the way back up the valley for a breather.

Watch out for snakes and lizards (among other wildlife) as we saw them frequently along the trail!
