Nice walk. We were expecting the coffee shop to be open up the top, but it's closed for a couple of months. It will be great when it opens. Fantastic to climb a hill like that and grab a cold drink at the top.

It amazes me how many people are walking up this mountain on a Friday afternoon. We hung around till sunset and took some great photos of Mt Beerwah and Crook Neck.

Fairly steep walk up rock steps most of the way. It's a strenuous walk but the views are amazing. You can see most of the Sunshine Coast from the summit. Awesome!

Nice walk. The directions are easy to follow which is good since there isn't much of a path for most of the walk up. The path down is clear though there are lots of loose rocks.

Not quite sure why this walk is marked as medium. The Kokoda part is really hard. We started at the bottom and walked up The Kokoda section. It sure does get the heart pumping. One lady we met was training for the real Kokoda track. She was just going up and down the last 200 meters. So steep. The Jacksonia track is much easier and pleasant.

Lots of water on the path in some places but it's walkable if you don't mind a bit of mud. Everything is really green at the moment.

We walked the track starting at the bottom end near the information centre and returned via the Caves track, with a stop off for lunch at the cafe. It made for a great day. We saw some wallabies on the grassy section of track early in the walk as well as a Noisy Pita. Surprisingly humid for this time of the year.

Impressive overhang. Really huge! Good track. We used this track to return to our car after walking the Lower Belbird circuit rather than walking all the way on the road. It had been raining so some parts of the track were a bit muddy.

Parts of this walk are really steep with loose stones so take care. About half way round coming across a sign warning that they are currently trapping and shooting wild dogs in the area was a bit concerning, but never the less we had no problems. We probably wouldn't take this walk again though.

Spectacular walk. We've done this walk a few times. Unfortunately the walk behind the falls has been decommissioned. They are in the process of building a suspension bridge downstream from the falls instead. The track is cut at the moment so you can't complete the circuit. You can still walk to the Waringa Pool though and this is certainly worth the walk. Great place for a swim. The Purlingbrook Falls themselves are fantastic.

Great place for a walk on such a hot day in Brisbane. We had a late afternoon walk and didn't make it all the way. The water just looked too good. Saw some dolphins.

Lots of Mossies, so we recommend taking insect repellant. Apart from that not a bad walk. I reckon it's the best looking mangrove Boardwalk I've seen. It was actually quite picturesque, so we'll done to those who built the boardwalk. Also the signs were quite informative, being a little different to those found in the national parks. |
