Mount Gravatt Summit Track (Brisbane City Council Local Walks)
12 Sep, 2015
Medium
1.2km one-way
30 mins
Nice walk. We were expecting the coffee shop to be open up the top, but it's closed for a couple of months. It will be great when it opens. Fantastic to climb a hill like that and grab a cold drink at the top.
Mt Ngungun (Glass House Mountains National Park)

It amazes me how many people are walking up this mountain on a Friday afternoon. We hung around till sunset and took some great photos of Mt Beerwah and Crook Neck.
Mount Coolum (Sunshine Coast)

Medium

Fairly steep walk up rock steps most of the way. It's a strenuous walk but the views are amazing. You can see most of the Sunshine Coast from the summit. Awesome!
Jim Soorley Bikeway and Wetlands (South East Queensland)

We walked this path all the way from Boondall wetlands to Stafford. Lovely walk for cooler weather.
Round Mountain (Glass House Mountains National Park)
8 Jun, 2015
Medium
2.4km one-way

Nice walk. The directions are easy to follow which is good since there isn't much of a path for most of the walk up. The path down is clear though there are lots of loose rocks.
Red Beach to Woorim (Moreton Island National Park)
8 Jun, 2015
Medium

We started the walk shortly after high tide but had no problem. Lots of dolphins real close to the shore.
Lake Broadwater (Darling Downs South West)

There are so many corellas here. They're just everywhere. We also saw red winged parrots. Stunning!
Centenary of Federation Track (New South Wales)

Easy walk and informative through bushland.
Jacksonia Trail, Bellbird Trail, and Kokoda Trail Circuit (Mt. Coot-tha)
6 Apr, 2015
Medium
4.6km
90 mins
Not quite sure why this walk is marked as medium. The Kokoda part is really hard. We started at the bottom and walked up The Kokoda section. It sure does get the heart pumping. One lady we met was training for the real Kokoda track. She was just going up and down the last 200 meters. So steep. The Jacksonia track is much easier and pleasant.
Ewen Maddock Dam - Trail 1 (Sunshine Coast)
5 Apr, 2015
Easy
13.4km return
4 hrs
Lots of water on the path in some places but it's walkable if you don't mind a bit of mud. Everything is really green at the moment.
Billai Dhagun Circuit (Brisbane City Council Local Walks)
4 Apr, 2015
Easy
2km return
45 mins
Lots of water around and plenty of mozzies to match. The path is holding out well though. No problems at all.
Lower Bellbird Circuit (Lamington National Park)
26 Mar, 2015
Medium
12km return
3 hrs
We walked the track starting at the bottom end near the information centre and returned via the Caves track, with a stop off for lunch at the cafe. It made for a great day. We saw some wallabies on the grassy section of track early in the walk as well as a Noisy Pita. Surprisingly humid for this time of the year.
Caves Track (Lamington National Park)
26 Mar, 2015
Medium
5.2km return

Impressive overhang. Really huge! Good track. We used this track to return to our car after walking the Lower Belbird circuit rather than walking all the way on the road. It had been raining so some parts of the track were a bit muddy.
Blackbutt Trail (Eumundi Conservation Park)
12 Mar, 2015

We stopped at the dam for a rest. Such a peaceful place. We really enjoyed the walk.
Bunyaville Track (South East Queensland)

Nice easy walk. We didn't t see any wildlife today.
Coobong Circuit (Parklands Conservation Park)
7 Feb, 2015
Medium
5.3km return

Parts of this walk are really steep with loose stones so take care. About half way round coming across a sign warning that they are currently trapping and shooting wild dogs in the area was a bit concerning, but never the less we had no problems. We probably wouldn't take this walk again though.
Purling Brook Falls Circuit (Springbrook National Park)
30 Jan, 2015
Medium
4km return
2 hrs
Spectacular walk. We've done this walk a few times. Unfortunately the walk behind the falls has been decommissioned. They are in the process of building a suspension bridge downstream from the falls instead. The track is cut at the moment so you can't complete the circuit. You can still walk to the Waringa Pool though and this is certainly worth the walk. Great place for a swim. The Purlingbrook Falls themselves are fantastic.
Jordan's Trail (Guy Fawkes River National Park)
29 Jan, 2015

We walked this track in conjunction with the escaroment track.
Red Beach to Woorim (Moreton Island National Park)
17 Jan, 2015
Medium

Great place for a walk on such a hot day in Brisbane. We had a late afternoon walk and didn't make it all the way. The water just looked too good. Saw some dolphins.
Walk on Water Track (New South Wales)

Lots of Mossies, so we recommend taking insect repellant. Apart from that not a bad walk. I reckon it's the best looking mangrove Boardwalk I've seen. It was actually quite picturesque, so we'll done to those who built the boardwalk. Also the signs were quite informative, being a little different to those found in the national parks.
