The Dangar Falls is a cascade waterfall located across the Bielsdown River just 1.2km north of Dorrigo. The falls are small, picturesque and are a popular local swimming hole. For a short time after rain, they are quite spectacular.

Getting there:

From the centre of Dorrigo, take Hickory Street, which runs into Vine Street and then Coramba Road. Follow the road until you see the sign with the car park to the right.

Route/Trail notes:

Start at the viewing platform overlooking the falls. Then follow the path to the left downhill to the base of the falls. The bitumen path is in disrepair but has been replaced in some sections with a wooden staircase. You can swim at the base of the falls though jumping and diving is prohibited.

Amazing waterfall close to town. The falls can be viewed from a lookout at the top. You can also take an easy walk to the bottom of the falls & go swimming if you choose.

This is little hidden gem of a waterfall and swimming pool, off the beaten track and no signposting. Think the Dorrigo locals keep it to themselves!

A great spot for the family. I stopped in at the National Park office to check if there were any waterfalls I could take the dog to and this was their suggestion. A very short walk, easy to find and pet friendly. Beware of stinging nettles though. My daughter was stung quite badly... I guess that must be the 'danger'!
