Tough but worth it.

Decent ascent, iPhone says it was a 28 floor gain from car park to rocky knoll (1.2km). The views along the way are good - much better than the top, I made the mistake of bribing the kids with ‘wait till we get to the top’ to find it was fairly unceremonial arrival. As the name suggests, there are a few rocks at a slightly higher place.
We returned via Gamlen circuit which made it much more interesting.

Not much of a lookout from the top, I had a better view from the bottom actually because there were gaps to see through the trees. Nice walk, decent amount of shade even in the afternoon.

The hike to Goolman Lookout was pleasant and not at all difficult. The trail was wide and accessible, with some steep sections but no climbing or scrambling required.

I walked back via the ‘Rocky Knoll’ Lookout which, true to its name, was a rocky knoll which you can only access by climbing over a barbed-wire fence 😳

Nice walk but the signage is poor. There are multiple junctions without signs, missed the Rocky Knoll Lookout :-( I did see the Mt Goolam which made up for it.
