Getting there

From Albany take Chesters Pass Rd, take a left on Formby Rd, then follow the signs to Mt Trio. There is a large carpark with a sign with all the walk information.

Route/Trail notes

Follow a well defined track from the carpark to the summit. The first half is pretty much a relentless steep staircase, the second half is a bit more undulating. View from the summit is excellent!

Permits/Costs

$15 per car per day.

Comments

Nice climb, but the other Stirling mountains are more interesting and better views

Great hike, no scrambling or exposure to worry about. There are good views all the way up but obviously the best views are at the very top. The staircase feels like its never ending but the payoff is worth the effort!
