Glorious day at Mt Greville. Up Palm, down Waterfall gorge. A couple of wrong turns. Nearly went down the last waterfall but thought there must be an easier way. I missed the right hand turn. First time to Lamington NP. Walked the Toolona Creek Circuit. What a gem of a walk. I think I missed Elabana Falls. 17.8k all up in 4hrs 34mins with stops for video & photos. I pushed the pace as wanted to get back to Brisbane before peak hour traffic. 5 degrees at the start with a nice breeze. No leeches :) I had the circuit to myself until about 7k to go. Came across a black dingo just after Toolona Falls. Just staring at me from the above single track. youtube video https://youtu.be/pxz7rP2IluQ to share. Not a fan of the long windy road but look forward to head back to explore some more

My first time up Mt Maroon yesterday morning. Glorious day after the storm that passed through the night before. Track was dry and with only a few puddles at the summit. A slight breeze and what a great stop for a cuppa. Views of Brisbane CBD it was that clear. I was a bit nervous coming down but was easier than expected. Sliding on my butt seemed the go! Parks have put a couple of tags to keep you headed in the right direction but still I relied on my Garmin 925 to keep me on track. A few footpads near the top that can get you off track. Sore today as I'm not used to those scrambling sections. Drank 1ltr water (out of 2ltr bladder), 2 hiking poles (i would only take 1 next time), wore Salomon trail shoes. Time to summit 1hr 33min. Spent and hour at top for rest, coffee and snacks. Just over 1 hr return. Will take in the other peak next time. youtube https://youtu.be/alk8_nzkjMM
