we walked late in the afternoon and camped at the walkers camp overnight and then walked to the falls the next morning .. or dry cliff face as the falls are at the moment.. the track is good the humidity is a killer and the leeches are off the planet but it's still fun to get out.
Wild Horse Mountain (Glass House Mountains National Park)

Ive driven past this walk 6 times a week for 2 years and thought it was about time I had a look .. steep but short with great views, mental note to self .. do this walk at dawn to see the sun rise on the Glasshouse Mts

Booloumba Creek to Wongai Walkers Camp (Conondale National Park)
25 May, 2013
Hard
24km return

It was a long steady climb after crossing the cascades and drying the feet. I was the only one too lazy to wear my gaiters on the way up and had the leeches because of it. The return trip the next day is easier, being almost all downhill.
Shepherds Peak (Expedition National Park)
31 Mar, 2013
Hard
3.6km
2 hrs
We took this walk at 5.30am which was when the birds were at their best in the open woodland section of the walk. Birdsong from friar birds, currawongs, golden whistlers, rufous fantails and budgies was almost deafening in one section of the forest. As we climbed Shepherd's Peak we wondered if it might not have been better to have done the walk the day before as it was the most strenuous of the four walks in the area. The view from the top though was amazing. You can see most of the gorge and the surrounding mountain range.
Robinson Gorge Lookout (Expedition National Park)
30 Mar, 2013
Medium
4km
90 mins
Expedition National Park is quite remote but well worth the 7.5 hours it took us to get there. Lots of birdlife and spectacular scenery.
Robinson Gorge Access (Expedition National Park)
30 Mar, 2013
Hard
4km return
90 mins
The 2km to the floor of the gorge are quite steep with no markers. There are no trails in the gorge itself. A fair level of fitness is required.
Cattle Dip Track (Expedition National Park)
30 Mar, 2013
Easy
800m
30 mins
Cattle Dip is truly spectacular and the walk really easy. If you wanted, you could walk the 2.8km from Starkvale camping ground to get to the start of the walk but it's just a forestry road with little of interest (and we'd already done three walks that day).
