1.25km return 30 mins |

| Unfortunately, due to extreme weather conditions, all the main walks had been closed today for safety reasons. This left us with Wambelong and Whitegum. The lookout was easily the best introduction to what we were missing, with fantastic view of Split Rock, Belougery Spire, Breadknife and many more. | ||||

| The last of three walks today covering a total of 14.8km, having scrambled up Cathedral Rock and along Ebor Falls, this was an easy if a little longer than expected walk to the top. A few well deserved cold beers were waiting in the esky at Barokee Campground for our return. | ||||

| O.M.G. Started off easy for the first 3km and then all hell broke loose as we negotiate the last 600m with a 80m climb/scramble, clawing our way up through the gigantic boulders, with a final chain traverse around the last boulder before ascending the 'throne'. Keep your nerve Pops, the grandchildren are with us! |

Boonoo Boonoo Falls (Boonoo Boonoo National Park) |
26 Oct, 2017 |
Easy |
700m return 30 mins |

| We haven't visited this area for over a decade, but now think that we did go to the falls in 2001 and again in 2005. This visit with the grandchildren was 'the best'. There words now mine! Just loved rock hopping the boulders out to the edge of the waterfall, as the water level was pretty low, which made it more fun. | ||||

Little Bald Rock (Bald Rock National Park) |

| Having been confused by the distance markers and where to climb up, I finally got to the top of this one to place another stone on the cairn and enjoy the great views on what I had thought was a sunny day. However, when I panned around to the east, I was confronted by a huge black thunderstorm cloud heading straight for me. I have never legged it off a mountain so fast in all my life! I don't mind getting wet, but lightning and granite do not mix, as I witnessed in Girraween NP a week later, with a strike hitting The Pyramid. |

| This was our first walk on a two week camping road trip out to Dubbo and back. Didn't start with an easy one did we! A real challenge to get the whole family to the top and back on a very hot day, but everyone agreed that the views from the top were well worth the hard work to get there. | ||||

| Out west on a road trip and if there is a walk to find, I'll find it! A bit of exercise after a morning at the Sales Yards and working off the previous night's red wine and huge steak dinner. Found out by accident (markings on the pathway), that this is also Roma's Parkrun. | ||||
