Getting there

Get to the hike by parking at Tenryuji Temple, Kani City. Not to be confused with the more famous Tenryuji in Kyoto. From the carpark, walk to the castle gate which is marked by a wooden gate.

Route/Trail notes

The path is very clear and almost impossible to get lost. Follow the stone path up. In about 10 minutes you will reach the summit which is marked by a bronze statue of Akechi Mitsuhide. 

From the peak, follow the sign that says 順路. This will take you down the other side of the mountain. One you reach the bottom, follow the road back to the carpark.
