A very picturesque waterfall in Great Otway National Park.

Getting there

The turnoff for this track is 4.8km from the northern end of Binns Road which runs between the Great Ocean Road and Forrest-Apollo Bay Rd which runs through Great Otway National Park. From Binns Road, turn west down Hopetown Falls Road. The walk starts at the end of this 400m road.

Route/Trail notes

This walk involves walking down 200 steps to a short track that takes you to a lookout at the base of the falls. Return the same way.  There is also a lookout at the top but it's not real close to the falls and part of it is obscured by the trees. To see it properly, you really need to go to the bottom. It's well worth it though.

There is no cost.

How can I find more info? Any guide books?

Third awesome waterfall for the day. I found it tough walk back up, but it isn't that far, so not too bad really. If you're in the area, don't miss walking through the Californian Redwoods another 1.3km down Binns Road. While they're not that old they're still really impressive.
