Great way to spend easter friday, but went up peasents an down, it was a gruelling 10hr non stop walk/scramble to the summit where we spent 15minutes and took some photos, got down to the road out just on dark, glad we were prepared and had head lamps, 4 more kms to go in our wet socks and shoes, but loved every minute of this long day
Gwongoorool Rock Pools (Lamington National Park)

Did this walk after heavy rainfall, at some spots there was water flowing onto the track like mini waterfalls, half way down to the pool there was a massive land/mud slide, we had to climb up over it and find the track somewhere on the otherside, water flowed down the track most of the way, blue spiny crayfish hissed and snapped at us along the track, the pool was in full flow more like a raging torrent then a pool...

Nice short walk that shows off what Green Mountains has to offer, great walk to take kids on I remember doing this walk back in 99/2000 with two young girls who had never walked any distance before and completed it without complaint, I think they were more taken in by the beauty of the forest then the distance they were walking

Great walk, nice to be up at Oriellys, staying in the campground again, this was in the week of the September 11th attack... Have memory's of coming back from a hard days walk and being up at the lodge bar for a celebratory beer when we heard the news, and having conversations with international guests, about the event, there was one very upset American girl who was trying to make a call home....
