Very hazy due to dust and smoke but a decent amount of water coming over the falls. Been a long time since my last walk and it was even nicer than I remember.

The falls were flowing nicely (I've seen them much lower). The main carpark is currently closed as they refurbish the picnic area so the walk starts from the camping area. This is well signposted from the road.

Very hazy day unfortunately so the view was limited.

Beautiful. Great contrast to the cliff top walks we'd been doing. Was worried the kids (6 & 8yo) would struggle with the elevation change but they handled it fine. We started with the descent at Evans Lookout and a more gradual climb back to the carpark.

Magnificent walk. It was great to get away from the crowds in Katoomba where I'd spent the morning. Lovely walking through the heath (would love to try it in Spring) and the views were amazing. My favourite walk I managed to fit in while in the Blue Mountains.

Short walk with a great overview of the park. Well worth the stop.
Belougery Split Rock (Warrumbungle National Park)	11 Nov, 2018	Hard	4.6km return 3.5 hrs
We had limited time in the park but this walk was fantastic. Quite hot so make sure to hit it early in the day. Our 6 and 8 year olds loved the scrambling to the summit.

I took a slow stroll along here in the late afternoon with kangaroos for companions and birds calling.
Mt Barney - East Peak - South Ridge (Mt Barney National Park)	2 Oct, 2018	Very Hard	17km return 10 hrs
Started climbing early (6am). Slight navigation error as we reached the saddle meant we scrambled around some faint trails a bit and skipped Rum Jungle entirely. Picnic at the old hut site then up to East Peak for glorious views. Visited Rum Jungle on the way back down. Descent was quick but legs were complaining a lot! Plenty of water in the saddle creek.

Visited with the whole family. Kids handled the walk easily (6 & 8). Saw a beautiful rainbow in the falls when we got there.
Flinders Peak (Ipswich - Flinders Goolman Conservation Estate)	1 Sep, 2018	Hard	6.5km return 3.5 hrs
Too much haze to see much but great walk. Will be back another time.

Went late in the afternoon and had fantastic views with the setting sun. Make sure to follow on past the summit a little way to get views off to the west.

Took the whole family up for sunrise. Was quite crowded but worth it. Kids had no trouble (6 + 8 yo) but Nan and Pop struggled a bit with the climb.
