Cedar Creek Falls

Tamborine National Park

From Cedar Creek Falls lookout, descend through eucalypt forest and dry rainforest to the rock pools below. Take your swimmers and immerse yourself in the cold cleat water of any of the three pool.
If you are swimming, please be aware that there are many hazards in natural waterways. Do not dive or jump into the pools.

Getting there:

From Tamborine Mountain Road, turn into Cedar Creek Falls Road and follow to the end. There is limited car park space here and on weekends is very, very busy, requiring you to park at the top of the road and walk down the road, an extra 1km each way.

There are plenty of BBQs, tables and open spaces to spread out for a picnic.

Route/Trail notes:

From the car park, follow the boardwalk down to the lookout. From here, the track falls away down to the rock pools below the water falls. You will need to scramble across the boulders to reach the three pools.

Absolutely amazing swimming spot! 4 kids and I did the walk and spent hours sliding down the rock slide left of the waterfall and jumping off rocks.
Got busy but still enough room for everyone.
Car park was full so we parked up on the main road and walked which added about 15 minutes each way.

great short walk to the rock pools. will need moderate fitness to climb down to the rock pools and there are some steps and uphill walk on the way back. not many people on a Monday morning. I combined this with a few other walks in the area. nice area with chairs and tables to eat lunch at beginning of walk.

Cold rainy sunday day, and still quite a lot of people. Waterfall was great though after all the rain it's sure was gushing down.

Nice finish to a beautiful day on Tambo. Weekday arvo. I have experienced the crowds on a weekend as well....

Beautiful creek with an easy walk. Always moderately busy, easy climb to the rock jump and a lot of people to jump with. Will recommended with it being so close to GC and such a easy walk

Fun to explore

Quick and easy walk with nice swimming areas at the end. It does get very busy though, especially on a hot day like today.

Good path with some steps. Really nice at the bottom though the lookout at the top is a bit disappointing as the falls are obstructed by a tree.

Did this track on the weekend . Good easy walk . Sealed path all the way. If you’re planning on making a day of doing the walks on Mt Tamborine I’d recomend doing this one first as it on the way up and more importantly it has a limited number of carparks and given it a nice place for a picnic it gets full early and then you’re faced with parking the top of the hill the at the turn off probably 300m away.

Beautiful place worth making the trip on a week day to enjoy it with only a few others around

Great walk

A nice set of small waterfalls which are easy to access. Get there early otherwise it will be difficult getting a car park near the entrance.
