A circuit walk from Cougal Cascades to Boyd's Butte and Mt Cougal. Includes views from both peaks.
The Mount Vane walking track on Minjerribah is Straddie’s latest visitor attraction. Recent completion of the track has allowed keen bush walkers to enjoy 360-degree views of Moreton Bay and Quandamooka Country from a lookout atop one of Minjerribah’s highest peaks.
Constructed by Minjerribah’s Traditional Owners, the Quandamooka People, the new walk joins two existing walks within Naree Budjong Djara (My Mother Earth) National Park to create a 10 kilometre network of trails. This offers walkers a half day of trekking to special sights like Karboora (Deep Silent Pool, also known as Blue Lake) and a number of peaks with sweeping views over 18 Mile Swamp to the Gold Coast.
Blue Gum Loop - also called Joe's Mountain Circuit - is a short, popular and very scenic circuit near Hornsby through Berowra Valley Regional Park, passing the Fishponds on Berowra Creek and Washtub on Waitara Creek. It's been recognised by the Sydney Morning Herald in 2015 as one of the “Six of the best bushwalks” in Sydney. A great family walk.
Forest trail to a natural rock cliff lookout without barriers. First part quite steep. Later some steps included. On the way passing the Worimi Cultural Area with traditional tree carvings.
This is a longer walk (hence the "Hard" grading) that is not overly difficult, and gives you a completely different view of Flinders Peak. The track does have a few very steep sections and is not well marked, with some of the markers giving you a very vague indication of which way to go.
The Coast Walk in the Royal National Park is a popular long day-walk or overnight walk from Otford to Bundeena, along the coast. It offers stunning views, many pristine beaches and some spectacular waterfalls.
The trail begins at the end of Little Nerang road and runs along the Southern portion of the Tallai range before running down it's Western flanks above Advancetown Lake (Hinze Dam) to Gold Coast Springbrook Road.
On a hot day, escape the sun for the densely-shaded rainforest on the Palm Grove Walk. Stroll along this short walk beneath the shade of elegant hoop pines and piccabeen palms. This circuit starts from the day-use area, near the toilet block.
Branch off the Coastal Walk 50m from the day-use area, and climb to the crest of Noosa Hill on the Noosa Hill Walk (limited views). Pass through shrublands dominated in places by she-oaks and grasstrees, and delicately-patterned scribbly gum forest.
Picnic area with a view. Wheelchair friendly track to a stunning view of the top of Goomoolahra Falls with the warrie circuit track below and views of the Springbrook Pinnacle and out to the coast and the general hinterland.
