I did a combination walk along this track including Poets Rock, the water tanks up in the north as well as the rocky outcrops near the Gateway motorway. Was a good day and a good training walk for longer day trips.

One of the rare examples of a throughflow erosion cave at the transition boundary of two rock types in SEQ. Utterly spectacular. The views into the Coomera valley and the engineered path are both worth the steps and the zig-zagging.

Water was a little green. The lookout further along the valley is spectacular and just a little precarious.

Went up for a day trip with a mate, looking at future campsites. Brilliant view of Mt Castle, and down the valley back to Ipswich and Brisbane.

Great view of the Cunningham Highway and into the southern Scenic Rim. Mt Lindsey and Barney are visible on a good day.
Lower Portals (Mt Barney National Park)	20 Jan, 2014	Medium	7.4km return 3 hrs
A beautiful walk with a good physical challenge. Went in the middle of summer and it was 40 degrees, the swim to the far end of the portals was well worth it at the end!!!! Camped out the night and went home the next day. The campsite is in the opposite direction along the creek, nice sites to fit a few people. Ran into a wallaby at 4pm in the afternoon filling up water bottles.

Did this walk during Schoolies. Ran into a tour group from Binna Burra, and spent some time looking at the trees and rocks on the top of the mountain. A nice easy walk from the main visitor area.

A stunning view down to Egg Rock and the Numinbah Valley.

A good self interpretive walk the details some of the native rainforest tree species present around you. A good easy walk to pass the time
Toolona Creek and Mount Wanungra (Lamington National Park)	22 Nov, 2013	Medium	19.73km 6 hrs
Did this walk for a bit of fun, really enjoyed all the waterfalls and the scenery along the way. Mt Wanungara lookout was spectacular. Camped at Mt Bithongabel campsite which was beautiful as the clouds rolled up the cliffs in the evening.

Did this walk as part of my Schoolies week. Stayed at Echo point campsite for the night with friends and had a brilliant dinner at the point itself cooking on fuel stoves as the sun set. Spectacular waterfalls and views to Mt Warning!

Ended up doing 15km around the entire forest as a bit of an extra trip. well worth it, especially some of the views from the northern rocky outcrops along the fire trails.

A gem hidden on a back road. Not the best signposted place in the area, but a picturesque spot none the less.

Did this walk with my parents to discover a fantastic view at the very top. An easy stroll well worth it.

I combined this walk with the route from Cherry Plain for a bit more of a challenge. The varying forest types are spectacular, with twisting tracks and scenic waterfalls. Looked a bit over prepared as we approached the easier tracks however.

Beautiful lookouts and vista's over the Fassifern valley. Been multiple times taking friends and foreign visitors alike.

A beautiful walk that at times I lost to the undergrowth. It travels through some spectacular country through many varying terrain, creek and forest types. well worth another trip.

A brilliant stopover whenever travelling in the south-west of the scenic rim.
West Canungra Creek Circuit (Lamington National Park)	Dec, 2011	Hard	18km 6 hrs
My favourite walk at Green Mountains. The precession of waterfalls and track engineering to access the creek is mind boggling.
