Montezuma Falls walk (West Coast Tasmania)
21 Apr, 2019
Very Easy
3 hrs
Easy flat walk, track was wet and muddy in places so wear hiking boots not runners. Beautiful waterfall..
The walk says 3 hours, it took us 2 hours with a short stop at the waterfall.
Saint Valentines Peak (Tasmania)
11 Mar, 2018
9km return
4 hrs
This walk is quite steep in areas and probably not passable in winter as you need to cross a river with no bridge, it’s only shallow though and you can rock hop it but winter would be very different. It was warm on the way up and down the mountain but the peak was very windy and quite chilly so be sure to take an extra jumper, even on a very warm day.
The views are magical. 360 degrees. Worth the walk.
Fossil Bluff and Lookout (Tasmania)
Jan, 2018
700m return
20 mins
A short steep walk that is definitely worth it.
Dove Lake Circuit (Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park)
9 Nov, 2017
5.7km return
2 hrs
Being Tasmanian I have done this walk many times and in all seasons. It is beautiful summer or snowed covered in winter. There are alwYs other people on the walk but never too many to be bothered by them.
The Big Tree (Dip River Regional Reserve)
Jul, 2016
200m return
20 mins
This walk is amazing in winter when the rivers are full and the water is gushing over Dip Falls.
The Nut (Tasmania)
Jun, 2016
2.6km return
1 hr
Great walk
