Completed this morning with virtually no one else around for at least half the walk. It was so peaceful. A really nice easy walk. It does have some ups and down but nothing I would call a hill so something you could definitely children on despite the length.

Lovely walk to start off my weekend in the bunya Mountains. Nice short walk took an hour. Not at all strenuous.

Walked the Buaraba Creek track and both circuits today. It was already quite hot at 10am when we started our trip back up the hill so glad we didn’t leave it until later in the year. Very little water in the creek just a trickle but nice day.

Completed the buaraba track today and all side tracks. The creek was only just a trickle and the walk back up was hot so would recommend completing the walk earlier in the day. It was a lovely walk and the Gas Beutel lookout is a beautiful place to stop and have a picnic.

Benarkin to Linville- Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	26 Sep, 2021	Medium	18km one-way 4.5 hrs
Walked the final part for us of the BVRT from Nurinda to LINVILLE . It’s getting too hot to keep going each weekend so plan to cycle from Yarraman to Wulkuraka when the weather gets cooler again. It has been a lovely place to walk during winter.

Lovely little walk down to the falls. I didn’t expect it to be flowing given there hasn’t been any significant rain for months but definitely a flow happening.
Esk to Toogoolawah - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	31 Aug, 2021	Medium	19km one-way 5 hrs
Completed over a couple of weekends walking up and back in sections over Winter. Have finally made it to Toogoolawah, next stop Harlin.
Esk to Ottaba - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	25 Aug, 2021	Easy	11km one-way 3 hrs
Completed this walk on a beautiful August day. It is definitely starting to get a lot hotter on the trail though so definitely one for the cooler months. This section of the BVRT is largely right next to the Brisbane Valley Highway so not as peaceful as some other sections. Esk is a great spot for lunch and exploring the shops and Ottaba has the Llama farm. There really isn’t any access point here except for the locked gate directly opposite the Llama farm which is just before the old Ottaba station if you are coming from Esk.
BVRT - Coominya to Mt Hallen (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	27 Jun, 2021	Easy	14km one-way 4.5 hrs
Another lovely section of the BVRT that I am slowly walking return sections of each weekend.
Lowood to Coominya Rail Trail (South East Queensland)	13 Jun, 2021	Easy	12km one-way 3 hrs
Slowly walking the rail trail up and back in sections of between 10-16km a section. Walked this section in two trips. This is a really flat section. Lowood are working on beautifying the sides of the rail trail with gardens and it is already looking amazing. Coominya is small but a lovely pub at the end.
Fernvale to Lowood - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	8 May, 2021	Easy	8km one-way 2 hrs
Nice flat walk today up and back between Fernvale and Lowood. Quite a hot day with no shade so I definitely do not recommend this in summer. Good views of the river in one section.
Wulkaraka to Fernvale - Part of BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)	3 May, 2021	Medium	23km one-way 6 hrs
I don't have access to a car shuttle at the moment so I have taken 3 weekends to walk from Wulkuraka to Fernvale doing up and back in sections. Section 1 was from the train station at Wulkuraka to Muirlea station sign about 10km return. Section 2 from the Muirlea station sign to Borallon Station Road and then from Borallon Station Road up to Fernvale. The last section was the prettiest with lots of flowering grass and beautiful countryside. Definitely would be very hot in summer.
