Zamia Walk (Central Queensland)

Lovely local walk. The creek was dry this time of year. We hiked up and back and did a couple of side tracks, about 30km. 3.5 hours up, 3 down at a stop and look at the view pace. Towards the top you can see the ocean over towards Joskeleigh in one direction, the volcanic plugs in another, and the hills all around.

I'm guessing it gets hot in summer but there might be more water then. It was about 7 degrees when we started and felt like about 25 when we finished.
Cedar Creek - Black Creek (South East Queensland)

I did this with two friends. There has been rain the previous few days and blavks creek was very much running. It was also extremely overgrown, and my friends and I were ripped up pretty badly by the vegetation.

There were parts of this hike that were more rock climbing than scrambling.

It was beautiful, but I would advise that this should only be attempted by someone wut at least basic rock climbing skills, That you should wear long sleeves and pants, and carry a rope and a machete. The way we did it was very stressful.
Carnarvon Great Walk (Carnarvon National Park)

I loved this hike. I did it as a 4 day hike-I did section 1 on day 1, 2 on day 2 then sections 3 and 4 on day 3, sections 5 & 6 on day 4.

Definitely do the side Tracks the first day.

The climb up Battleship Spur on day 2 is challenging with a full pack. I'd think it would be brutal in hit weather-there isn't a lot of shade on much of the trail.

I saw emus and a lot of wild pigs.

The trail was very overgrown and hard to follow at times in the last section but it's otherwise very well defined.
