| Second time I did this hike but first time for the sun rise and the ONLY time it wasn't cloudy for me, which gave me an absolutely stunning soleil rise! :) The hike up the almost 1000m hill is moderately strenuous but great for the heart. Path is very easy to follow and the last bit of scrambling at the top is probably the most fun part of the walk. Enough time in the day/night to take your time with this one. | ||||

| A lot of small rocks on the path so easy to twist your ankle if you're not careful. Because of this I shouldn't have come down the same way but I did and it was painful (fell a few times, got scratches to show :) I'll do it again and will follow the path down on the other side of the mountain towards Mt Maroon. One small face cliff is a bit exposed but doabe. Views were ok on the way up but not much from the top. Quite a wild bushy track. | ||||

| It was like a walk in the clouds. Literally. The clouds were that low (or the mountain that high) :) Great scrambling and scenery. Care to be taken towards the top, when you need to head right down the rocks on a narrow path (a little bit of descending) and then up again to the top. Otherwise you get a bit stranded on the rocks. If you do, turn back and look for this path | ||||
