Mothar Mtn Rock pools

Woondum National Park

This is a pretty little walk you can take whilst visiting the rock pools. It's only 500mtrs long and is a great little nature walk for the little ones. Be aware though, even though it is graded 'very easy', there is a small creek that has to be crossed and care should be taken with little ones that they don't slip on the rocks.

Getting there:

Take the Old Noosa Road south of Gympie (next to Bunnings) out about 10km and turn left into Hill Road, signposted to rock pool's car park. This is also the start of the Mt Boulder trails.

It is a most beautiful place to walk through an easy walk of the 3 that is here at Woondum National Park. I don’t understand why people call it Mothar Mountain. There is no mention of it on the National Parks Sign. Still very beautiful and very cold in winter. We were the only ones there this day. We did do a walk through the rock pools as well. There’s is a bit of a track then leads overs rocks to other side. A medium walk over along the rocks. There is a bit of track on the other side. We could have gone a bit further decided not to.

Cute little walk

A disappointing walk, as due to the dry weather, the pools were all but dried out. The fun bit was the camel in field on Hill Road!

Dropped in here on the way back from further north, pretty location.
Would be a great place to cool off in summer.
