Comments

An easy stroll with diverse bird and wildlife. Only a few minutes drive from the centre of Bundaberg. The name swamp doesn't do it justice.

Nice easy walk right in the middle of Bundy !

After a very wet day yesterday the swamp was really muddy and wet. Had to retrace our initial route. Apart from that the Flying Foxes were abundant and very easy to see on the walk. Routes aren't marked but easy to follow the pathways.

Friend and I went geocaching around the park.
Very flat, easy concrete pathways, suitable for bikes, prams and walkers alike. Whilst several pathways pass directly under colonies of flying foxes, you can definitely avoid them (as I preferred to). Nice park, though not at all challenging, and tailor-able to your time and length preferences.

This is the first time I have been to see a colony of flying foxes and it didn't really smell. No idea why. It's a really large colony. There was a lot of bird life around including a little egret, purple swamp hens, black ducks and Australian wood ducks. We walked 3.3km and it took an hour.
