Yul-yan-man, Tibrogargan, Trachyte Circuit

Glass House Mountains National Park

Simply a stitched together circuit of three existing tracks that together, provide a lot of good views, a good variety of landscape and plants and lots of birdsong and flowers. The Yul-yan-man part includes some rock scrambling, the other two parts are mostly flat and easy.

Route/Trail notes

Start out following the Yul-Yan-Man track signs. The track is well made in general and lots of signage. Its a bit adventurous, but I wouldn't call it particularly hard. You get lots of good views of Tibrogargan and other more distant hills. There were lots of flowers today.

Eventually this track joins the Trachyte Circuit. Turn left onto it and continue until you reach the Tibrogargan Circuit and again turn left to do a near complete cirucit of the hill before rejoining the Trachyte Track/Soldier Settlers Trail back to the car park. Hopefully having enjoyed all the flowers and bird song.

Well signed walk between the trailheads. Partly shaded although wouldn’t want to be doing it too late in the day. Good to have a rest break at one end and refuel for the way back. Start at either end for an enjoyable hike. Took about 2hrs 20 minutes to complete.

A fairly easy walk with great views. First part of the walk there is a bit of scrambling over rocks but nothing too difficult.

Enjoyed the variety and add on options if there is still time and energy left. Due to recent rain there was an outbreak of mozzies today. Likely not the case at other times.
