Bardon Bushland

Mt. Coot-tha

Several short trails which link together through parts of Bardon/Ashgrove/The Gap. Entrances to the trails are the Bardon Esplanade (across the creek and bridge) north and south Barnett Rd and Trinder Rd The Gap. There is a goat track just off the Barnett Rd trails (before you reach the dead-end of the track at private property) which connects to the Quarry Trail - You need to walk along a steep ridge to get to it - and this will connect you to the rest of the Mt Coot-tha trails.

Mixture of typical bush trails. Choose and pick.

Dry and washed out tracks. Rough as guts! Loved it.

I used the directions in the comments and easily found the goat track. Steep track but easily linked us to the top of the quarry trail where we did the Kulgan Circuit and retraced our way back. Just under 6km. Kulgan Track is really nice and I enjoyed this walk.

Not very interesting apart from the empty shells of a few cars along the path up a hill, and full of mosquitos.

Was a good walk. The description above isn't very good as to where to go! We got lost and did 9Km all up which took 2hours 28mins. Park at Bardon Esplanade and before you go across the bridge (as per description) there is a really faint trail up hill. Keep taking that which leads to a green track sign. Keep following that to the end of the private property. Then you hit the Goats Track. Keep going from there ! Goats track is very steep and lots of little rocks, so it's easy to kind of fall. But all up, was a great walk with friends!
