Getting there:

Pass through Cunninghams Gap on Cunningham Highway. Turn right at Goomburra Road. Turn right onto Inverramsay Road at the Goomburra Hall and follow this road. The road crosses the creek a number of times as it passes a number of private campgrounds (Gordon Country).

From the New England Highway turn off the highway 3km south of Allora onto Inverramsay Road, follow Inverramsay Road, then Forestry Reserve Road east for about 35km to the park entrance.

When you reach the National Park boundary take the left branch (Lookout Road). Kurrajong Picinic area is on the right, then cross the creek once more. This crossing isn't sealed but can handle conventional cars as long as the creek isn't running too high - there is no height sign so pre-walk the creek crossing first.

Sylvesters Lookout walk is on the right about 6km along Lookout Road.

A short walk to the lookout with great views out across the valley.
This is also the start of the Mt Castle bushwalk.

Great little walk through some beautiful rainforest. Stayed at Gordon Country, so a short drive from there. 4WD necessary for some creek crossings to get to the walk. Beautiful lookout, can be a little muddy and slippery underfoot, but all in all a very easy pleasant walk with spectacular views at the top.

Easy walk and great views north towards Brisbane.

Nice easy track to stunning views across the valley.

An easy walk with a lot of ferns and roots on the track. The constructed viewing platform has been built on the edge of the cliff. A lovely view and well worth the short walk.

Easy walk! It should be done before the mt Castle lookout, if you’re seeing both!

A nice short easy walk with good views, worth doing in conjunction with Mount Castle lookout.

Amazing view for very little effort. If you're doing Sylvester's Lookout and Mt Castle Lookout, I would visit Mt Castle Lookout first and Sylvester's lookout on your way back (we did it in that order, mainly due to parking).

Also checked out start of track to hole-in-the-wall. Was very clear for at least first 15 minutes. Didn't go any further.

Nice easy walk to a lookout with good views.

Had a look at the pad to hole in the wall but seemed to be very overgrown,I would suggest plenty of personal protection if taking this route

An easy walk through the rainforest. Many types of fungus attached to fallen logs. Becareful of exposed roots when wet. And great views present themselves after a short walk.
