A nice 5k walk from Wirrabarra road. I would recommend heading along powerline break first, then up lantana break and coming back down Rocky Mountain High. Lantana break is heading directly up from the gullly to the top of the ridge, quite a challenging walk, but well signposted and takes about two hours all up. I'd recommend heading there after a little bit of rain so that the ground is softer and not at slippery.

We parked in the car park off Chalcot Road, Anstead. Walked anti-clockwise along Nursery Break, Devils Break, Powerline Road then a clockwise loop of Powerline Road, Rocky Mountain & Lantana Break (I would hate to tackle the hill on Lantana Break the opposite direction!). Then along Ugly Gully Break and onto Centre Road which took us back to the car park. Lots of wildlife (birds, lace monitors), certainly challenging in some sections but we would do this one again for the peacefulness and nice wide tracks. Definitely not easy though...should be graded at a medium! 11km total distance.

Did this walk with Devil’s Break Loop to make it 11 km. Some birdlife were spotted and Lace Monitors. Nice and peaceful. Glad I had my walking boots on and poles for the steeper sections. Would do it again for fitness.

Ok walk. Just a couple of steep firetrails - no scrambling and limited views. Wouldn’t return.
