Main gorge walking track
The main gorge walking track crosses Carnarvon Creek many times as it winds the 9.7km from the visitor centre to Big Bend. Side-tracks from the main gorge track lead to a range of sites. The track is mostly flat, although the side-tracks involve steeper sections.

The featured sites on side-tracks can be combined to create one-day walks. For example, the Moss Garden, Amphitheatre, Ward's Canyon and the Art Gallery sites can be visited on a 14km return one-day walk.

Spectacular! Be prepared for lots of creek crossings over stepping stones. The track is not technically difficult, it’s the distance that is tiring. Take plenty of water and food. We hiked from the Visitor Centre, stopping at all the side attractions, to Big Bend, where we camped. Took around 7.5 hours and was roughly 20kms.

Simply breathtaking walk. This is quite possible the best walk ive been on for many years. there are some ups and downs as you trek to these beautiful areas but the walk itself is very good. tracks are very well managed and there are alot of spots you can sit and rest. I will be back for sure!
