Water drips constantly from the sandstone walls of the Moss Garden, supporting a lush carpet of mosses, ferns and liverworts. Beneath tree ferns straining for sunlight, a small waterfall tumbles over a rock ledge into an icy pool.

Beautiful. Make sure you keep going at the end of the forked track as the gorge is beautiful

This is a must do side trip off the main path through Carnarvon Gorge. It’s a beautiful spot to pause and marvel at nature! The moss is luminous and despite a few steps, it’s absolutely unmissable.

The Moss Garden is gorgeous and the walk to the Moss Garden is photogenic. It is a great place to pause and appreciate your surroundings.

So cool when it is 38°C in the gorge. Great rest stop on a hot day but take the insect repellent as the mossies can be savage.

Hows the serenity?

Lovely walk through the cycads and palms to a magical spot. There is a river crossing with good stepping stones. Great walk.
