Getting there

This hike begins near Ginkakuji temple. Take your favourite bus to Ginkakuji and then instead of walking into the temple take the street continuining around it. You will pass another temple (don't enter), keep going and you will find the trail head (which is well signed) for Daimonji.

Route/Trail notes

Very gentle route with stairs and obvious trail that takes you all the way to the top. The only confusing part might be an intersection with multiple branching roads. Simply follow the most well worn path up the wooden stairs to reach the lookout. Enjoy.
