Other References/Comments:

Take time out while you are here and explore (fee applies) the restored Telegraph Station precinct, it is well worth the visit.

Various walking and cycle/mountain bike tracks branch out from the historic Telegraph Station, including the starting point for the Larapinta Trail (Section 1), Riverside, Stuart, Spencer Hill and Bradshaw Walks. To the west, there are also shared mountain bike trails, including, Llentye, Arrwe, Tyape and Apwelantye.

Comments

This is an absolutely fascinating and historic area, with the walks a bonus. We took time out to visit the station buildings and the stories they tell. Given the amount of information available, I guess the 'Post Office' was articulate in recording what happened here.
