| I'm a beginner and this was a challenging walk. The trail goes steadily downhill via steps and switchbacks to Lower Ballunjui Falls and then returns back up that path. For hikers who frequently do grade 4 & 5 tracks, this may be considered "easy" - but for a new hiker, it was on the harder end of moderate. With that out of the way - it was absolutely spectacular, and has everything you would want in a trail. Giant trees, flowers, vistas, birds, butterflies and a waterfall. No leeches but it was mid summer and the trail was bone dry. I can see that leeches would be common in the wet season! |
