Carole Green Walkway (South East Queensland) |

| Relatively easy trail. Paved all the way down to a circular timber boardwalk section. Always plenty of birdsong, although it is one of those places where they are easier seen than heard. Mozzies can be ridiculous at times and the path can get slippery after heavy rain. Have seen koalas here at least 3 times | ||||

Tinchi Tamba Wetlands (Brisbane City Council Local Walks) |

| Easy flat walk through mangroves and adjacent eucalyptus woodland. Zero elevation to speak of. It can be unpleasant after sustained heavy rain fall as lots of water can sit around for weeks. Best walked early in the morning when the kangaroos are more active and the picnic area is quiet, or alternatively late afternoon to catch a sunset from the picnic area. I have seen lots of different bird species along the trail over the years, although not much from the designated bird hide. | ||||

Bullocky Rest to Forgan Cove Loop (South East Queensland) |

| Have done this walk many times over the last 20 years. Sometimes I do the whole walk, other times I just park at Bullockys and look for koalas in the first section/picnic area and/or watch the sunset. The Bullocky Rest picnic area is as good as any and is nice for a cool drink or a snack after your walk Normally takes 2.5 hours if I do the whole trail as I like to try and spot birds and koalas along the way and will stop accordingly. Surprisingly I have only even seen one snake here which was a python. Look out for Koalas, Tawny Frogmouths, Fairy Wrens and the occasional bird of prey. There is also a group of Pale headed Rosellas in the first section between Bullocky Rest and Forgan Park that have been there for many years. |

Scarborough Point Low Tide (Moreton Island National Park) |

| Nice stroll at low tide. On high tide the point is completely submerged. Good in the late afternoon after work when there is less people. Particularly nice if there is a late afternoon breeze after a hot day. Keep an eye out for birds in the exposed tidal areas - Terns, Pied Stilts and maybe an Osprey flying overhead. |
