| Tried to walk from Harding's paddock. Signage at confusing near Goolman's lookout. The signs don't match the trail names. That said beautiful walk beyond the lookout turn-off. Until I reached a DO NOT PROCEED PAST THIS POINT warning sign just past the water hole south of Spowers road fork. Wild dogs in the area, so it would have been nice to know that at Harding's before setting out. Only got 11km done. But will be back. Really green after the rains. | ||||

| Did scrub road as a day-walk today. Had intended to camp over night but park facilities were closed due to cyclone OMA - which proved to be a real fizzer. Great walk - just to get out in the trees and the breeze was cooling. Glimpses of beautiful views along the trails. Extended the walk down South boundary road to the weather station and then back to scrub road site for a bite to eat before heading back to the car. 12km all up. 3& 1/2 hours including 30mins for lunch. Just great to be in the bush. Cyclone! What cyclone? |
